Day 30

Hi peoples!

We're in Yellowstone! We got here in Gardiner, Montana on Wednesday at 7:00pm, and we will be leaving Sunday morning. The RV park we are at is A-MAZ-ING! We have the best camp site ever! We are number 48. It's at the edge of the park. It's pretty big, probably the biggest site. What I love about the site is we have enough room to put the back porch out, so if we sit out there, we have the most gorgeous view.

On Thursday we went to Norris in the Yellowstone area. There was two different loops We went on both, the Porcelain Basin and Back Basin. The Porcelain Basin, the smaller loop, was more open. And the bigger loop had more trees and wild life. Speaking of wild life. On the way back to the camp site we saw a bunch of Elk! And some Big Horned Sheep! They were just minding their own business. :D

I'm sorry to say that I can't put any pictures up that we took. The internet is way too slow, to where it won't work. :( I was able to bet some maps from the internet though.

We went into town to do some shopping yesterday! Jack got a nice tri fold leather wallet with the picture of a wolf on it, a lollipop, and a bag of candy. Haha! :D Shane got one of those leather "money clips", a shirt and a bag of candy. ;) My mom got a shirt and my dad got two shirts. I got a sweatshirt and a knife that was 50% off! Awesome!

My knife!

We went into town two or three times. Probably because it's so awesome there. Today I think we are going to Mammoth Hot Springs, thankfully it's not as for trip as Norris was. Mammoth is also where you can get a fishing license, so we might get go fishing too.

  1. I absolutely love your blog, Evelyn. I can sort of picture in my mind where you all are and what you're doing. I was surprised to read that you were buying things, since you just sold all your stuff in Boise. It's always fun to buy a few things, though.

We are getting a little hint of fall here--it's been a little chilly, so much that my AC hasn't come on in days, and I've been wearing a light sweater or jacket sometimes. The trees are just beginning to turn colors, too. I wish I could put photos on here--maybe I can, and I just don't know how.

My dog is getting a lot better--you know he was quite sick for awhile. He's deaf now, and I think he can't see either, but he's pretty happy and he still likes to take walks.

My cat loves to eat--he's a really big cat. he also likes a lot of attention. He bats me with his paws to make me do what he wants--no claws, just paws.

    Keep writing, please!

    Love,
    Gma

    1. Well, when we buy things, you to make sure that it's something that we can use on the trip. It's still pretty hot hear in Montana. I'm super glad to here that Beau is better. Daddy told me that he wasn't doing well. I can't wait to see all three of you! I can't wait to meet Sherlock.

  2. I've looked into ways to add photos since I can do it easily from my phone, but I can't do it either. Great blog Evelyn, Evelyn was not lying about our campsite. We were up on a cliff overlooking the Yellowstone river and the town of gardiner. It was the best site we have had so far. Fortunately, we were able to stay for 5 nights there....I might have actually been writing this under Evelyn's name, sorry for confusion.

  3. Hi Evelyn, I'm anxiously awaiting another blog. I assume the reason you are not writing is because you don't have internet. Maybe you will have wi fi soon and you can catch up everyone up on all the exciting things you're doing and seeing. Signing off for now, hope to hear from you soon. Connie
