Day 14

Hi peoples!

So far so good. Jack and I have been playing in the pool here in Eagle a lot since we got here. Have you ever gotten in to a hot tub and then quickly jump into a pool? Man! It is the most refreshing thing on a hot day! It takes a bit to got use to the heat in the hot tub, though. :) The pool here is pretty shallow. It gets deeper in the middle and has nice stairs at the ends. The deepest it gets is probably around five feet. I wish you could see the shape of the hot tub! It kinda looks like a jelly bean but with more "bubbles" in the shape.

Here we go. Found a picture online! It' not the greatest, but it's the only one I could find. The weird shaped one is the hut tub. The building in the background is where the rec hall, office, laundry, and exercise room are.

Today we had to get our passports done, I guess it isn't "So far so good". It was a very annoying experience. I had no idea there are so many rules just to take a picture of yourself! Like: No tank tops, no glasses, no showing teeth or smiling, you have to show your ears, and no jewelry! Sheesh! It took us a while to get that done. When we went to the place for passports, they said me, my mom, and Shane all had to re-do ours pictures because we were smiling. So when we got to Walgreens to take the picture, they slapped the no tank tops rule on me. My mom took her picture first, then we changed shirts to take mine! Haha! :D So yeah, I don't want that fiasco to happen ever again.

I suppose that's all for tonight. Good evening.

  1. Love your description of the hot tub and the pool. Regarding your passport photos, I can remember when all of those rules didn't apply, boy things have changed. I could live without so many rules, life would be a lot better.

  2. I had to have my passport photo done over because I was smiling in the first one, although I didn't think I was smiling at all. The no-glasses thing is silly--I don't even look like myself without my glasses. Connie's right; it used to be a lot easier before they put in all those rules. Your hot tub/pool description is great! Are you going to Canada? Otherwise I wouldn't think you would need passports. And the passport card is good for Canada, I think. Or maybe you're going to Mexico--who knows?

We are having wonderful weather here--wish you all were here to enjoy it. Fall is coming early, I think.

I'm enjoying your blog very much.

    Love,
    Gma

    1. Yeah. I don't like that you have to take of your glasses. It makes no sense. We might go into Canada for a little bit. I don't know about Mexico.
